I recently made a major foundation switch- which has led me to being able to leave the house sans makeup! After taking the Crown Diva bootcamp, the makeup artist Lisa G suggested Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk foundation. Everyone knows that my holy grail was MAC studio fix, and making the switch from something I have consistently been wearing every single day for two years was hard at first, but the best decision of my life.
Not only is the foundation buildable, but it provides a very natural finish and glow, to make it look as if you have nothing on your skin. I purchased two, one to go with my custom airbrush tan (color: 5.75) and the second for normal daily wear (color: 4) and if I needed to blend the two I have to different tones to work with. The foundation will stay put all day, but I notice with my skin type I get oily around mid day and need to touch up with a setting powder.
The foundation retails around $62, but is worth every penny in terms of coverage and the effects on the skin!

Kardinal Offishall Music Video
This past week I shot for Kardinal Offishall's new music video for his song Freedom. The shoot lasted for about 9 hours. Which is crazy because it will be edited down to 4 minutes.

Fame and Philanthropy Oscar After Party
My sister and I recently attended the Fame and Philanthropy Oscar's after party.
My dress was Zac Posen collection. The clutch was a vintage and cover in mixed blues glass glitter. The shoes were Steve Madden.
Crown Diva Pageant Bootcamp
I recently attended a Pageant Bootcamp at the Crown Diva boutique in Santa Monica a couple weeks ago.
The Bootcamp focused on nutrition, fitness, makeup application, walking and interviews. We finished the day with a mini pageant.
Some of the most important things I learned:
- Train and eat properly prior to the pageant so that you don't need to crash diet the day or week before.
- Spend time walking and wearing all of your outfits before so that you are comfortable and know any quirks.
- There is a large difference between stage makeup and interview makeup. For stage you want to look like you are hitting the town, think Kim Kardashian. While interview makeup should be more toned down and natural.
- Most interviews in the USA system are 2 minutes. Plan and think what you want the judges to know about you that you can say in that two minutes.
I will be doing a more detailed makeup look to come in the next posts!
